December 2023 Holiday Tablescape

When I began thinking about my dining room tablescape I had a pretty good idea of the 'look' I was after. I wanted to create Candy Cane Lane from the North Pole, complete with Santa in his sleigh and the reindeer all set to go. I put a burlap runner down the middle of the table and then a layer of faux snow. I placed my Santa in his sleigh in the center and realized he was just too big! Santa got moved to the kitchen islandscape which seems to be a better location for him. My point here is even though you may start out with a vision, it may not translate in reality, so you just have to be willing to pivot and try different things. I have to remind myself that this is a process and the more I keep at it, the better I'll get. So have fun with it; mix it up and enjoy the process!
